Client Review
Share content with clients for approval using magic links.
Brandmanna makes it easy to get external feedback on your content. Share a review link with a client or stakeholder, and they can view, approve, or request changes -- all without creating a Brandmanna account.
How Review Links Work
Review links are shareable URLs that give external reviewers access to specific content. Each link contains a unique token that grants read and review access to the shared drafts.
- No login or account creation required for the reviewer
- The link opens a clean review interface showing the draft content
- Reviewers can leave feedback directly from the review page
- You get notified when they respond
Sharing Content for Review
From a Draft
- Open a draft in the editor.
- Click the review or share action.
- A shareable URL is generated.
- Send the URL to your client via email, chat, or any other channel.
From Content Plans
Content Plans offer a streamlined review workflow for sending entire packs for approval.
- Go to the Plans page and open a plan.
- Navigate to the Packs tab.
- Find a pack that has generated content and click Send for Review.
- Enter the reviewer's email address and an optional message.
- The reviewer receives an email with a magic link to the review page.
The reviewer can see all drafts in the pack and provide feedback on each one. See Content Plans for more on how packs and plans work.
Approval Workflow
When a reviewer opens the review link, they have three options:
Approve
The reviewer confirms the content is ready. The draft or pack status updates to approved, and you receive a notification that the review is complete.
Reject
The reviewer indicates the content is not acceptable. The status updates to rejected, and you are notified so you can revise and resubmit.
Request Changes
The reviewer provides specific feedback on what needs to change. You receive a notification with their comments. After making the requested changes, you can send the content for review again.
Comment Threads
Review links support comment threads for more detailed feedback.
- Client-visible comments -- visible to both you and the external reviewer. Use these for collaborative discussion about the content.
- Internal comments -- visible only to your team. Use these for notes that should not be shared with the client.
This separation ensures you can have internal discussions about client feedback without exposing those conversations in the review interface.
Review Notifications
When a reviewer responds to your review link, you are notified in two ways:
- In-app notification -- the bell icon badge increments, and clicking the notification takes you to the reviewed content
- Email notification -- you receive an email confirming the reviewer's response (approval or change request)
See Notifications for more on how the notification system works.
Tier Limits
The number of active review links you can have at any time depends on your subscription:
| Tier | Active review links |
|---|---|
| Free | 0 (not available) |
| Creator | 2 |
| Studio | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | Unlimited |
Active review links count toward your limit as long as they are open. Once a review is complete (approved or rejected), the link no longer counts against your limit.
Tips
- Use pack-level review from Content Plans when you want a client to approve multiple related drafts at once.
- Add an optional message when sending review emails to give the reviewer context about what you need feedback on.
- Check your notifications regularly so you can act on review responses quickly.
- Use internal comments for team-only notes and client-visible comments for collaborative discussion.
