Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about Brandmanna.
Getting Started
How do I get started?
- Create your first brand. You can import your brand identity from a website URL or build your profile from scratch.
- Set up content pillars. You can define them manually or let the AI generate them from your brand context.
- Go to the Generate page, enter a brief, and create your first content ideas.
- Convert ideas to drafts, refine them, and publish.
For a full walkthrough, see the Getting Started guide.
Brand Voice
How does the AI know my brand voice?
You define your brand voice in your brand profile — voice, tone, mission, messaging, and colors. The AI uses this profile for every generation. The more you use Brandmanna and run Brand Enrichment, the more on-brand the output becomes. For even deeper voice matching, create a Voice Fingerprint from your existing content samples.
What if the AI output does not match my brand?
Use the refinement tools (Improve Clarity, Make Shorter, Make Longer, More Engaging, More Professional, More Emotional) or regenerate. You can also run "Enrich Brand" to let the AI learn from your edited content, or polish your voice description with "Polish with AI" on the brand page.
Content & Platforms
What are content pillars?
Content pillars are strategic content themes — for example, "Thought Leadership", "Customer Stories", or "Behind the Scenes". They ensure your content has variety and strategic purpose. You can have up to 5 pillars per brand (2-5 is recommended), and the AI uses them to generate more focused content.
What is the difference between scheduling and publishing?
Scheduling picks a future date and time. If you have a connected social account, Brandmanna auto-publishes the post at that time. Publishing sends the post immediately. You can schedule from the draft editor or the content calendar.
Content Plans
Where did my plan-generated content go on the Generate page?
The Generate page only shows standalone generations — content you created directly from the Generate page. Content created through Content Plans appears in three places: the plan's detail page (Packs tab), the Content page as grouped plan cards, and the Content Calendar. Workflow-generated content appears in the Workflows section.
How do I find my plan drafts on the Content page?
Drafts from Content Plans are grouped into plan cards on the Content page. Look for the cyan-accented cards with a plan type badge (Campaign, Recurring, or Editorial). Click the card to open a sheet that shows all drafts organized by pack. You can also use the Source filter to show only plan drafts or only standalone drafts.
What does "Mark as Final" do?
Mark as Final is a toggle inside plan group sheets on the Content page. It marks a draft as approved and ready for scheduling. Click the green checkmark icon next to any draft to mark it as final. Click again to remove the final status. This is useful for tracking which drafts in a plan are done and ready to go.
What does the "Edited" badge mean on my draft?
The blue "Edited" pill appears on scheduled or published drafts that have been modified after they were originally created. It helps you see at a glance which posts were tweaked after initial generation — for example, if you refined the text or updated a CTA on a scheduled post.
Export
How do I export a draft to Google Docs?
Open the Export modal on any draft and click "Export to Google Docs". This creates a new Google Doc with your content and opens it in a new tab. You must be logged into Brandmanna with a Google account for this to work. If you see a "Google account required" error, log out and log back in using Google OAuth.
What is the Design Brief for Canva?
The Design Brief generates AI-powered visual design instructions based on your draft content. It includes platform-specific canvas size, layout recommendations, color palette guidance, typography suggestions, and visual composition tips. Click "Design Brief for Canva" in the Export modal, then copy or download the brief to use in Canva or share with your designer.
Social Accounts & Publishing
How do I connect social accounts for publishing?
Go to Account Settings > Publishing, or go to the Brands page, select a brand, and use the Publishing section to connect LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter/X via OAuth. See Publishing for details.
Can I use my own images?
Yes. Click "Upload Image" in Media Studio. The AI analyzes and tags your images automatically with subjects, colors, mood, and visual themes. You can then attach them to any draft. You can also click "Create Image" to generate new AI images.
Collaboration & Review
Can clients review my drafts without signing up?
Yes. Create a review link (Creator tier: 2 active links, Studio: unlimited). Share the token URL with your client — they can view, approve, or comment without logging in or creating a Brandmanna account.
How do I send content for external review?
From the Plans page, open a plan and go to the Packs tab. Click "Send for Review" on any pack that has content. Enter the reviewer's email and an optional message. They receive a magic link — no Brandmanna account needed. They can view all drafts in the pack and either Approve or Request Changes. You get an email notification when they respond.
Workflows
How do workflows work?
Workflows are multi-stage automated pipelines. A typical example: Generate ideas, draft content, generate images, wait for approval at a review gate, then schedule publication. You can add review gates for team and client approval, and schedule recurring runs. See Workflows for details.
Limits & Billing
What happens when I hit my monthly limit?
You will see an upgrade prompt. Your existing content is not affected — you can still access, edit, and export everything you have already created. Monthly limits reset on the 1st of each month. Upgrade your plan to get higher allowances. See Plans & Pricing for tier details.
Account & Security
I did not receive my verification email. What do I do?
Check your spam or junk folder. If the email is not there, go to the login page and click "Resend Verification Email". You will need to enter your email and password to request a new link. Verification links expire after 24 hours.
My account is locked. What happened?
After 5 incorrect password attempts, your account is temporarily locked for 15 minutes for security. Wait 15 minutes and try again, or reset your password using the "Forgot Password" link on the login page.
