Create Your Brand
Set up your brand profile with voice, tone, pillars, and visual identity.
Your brand profile is the foundation of everything in Brandmanna. The AI uses it for every piece of content it generates — from LinkedIn posts to blog articles to image prompts. The more detail you provide, the more on-brand your output will be.
You can create a brand from scratch or import one from an existing website URL.
Quick Start: Import from a Website
If you already have a website, this is the fastest way to get started:
- Go to the Brands page and click "New Brand".
- Select "Import from Website" and enter your website URL.
- Brandmanna's AI extracts your brand identity — name, industry, voice, colors, logo, and messaging — from the site.
- Review the imported details and adjust anything that needs refinement.
- Save your brand.
This gives you a solid starting point. You can then fine-tune the voice, add content pillars, and fill in any gaps.
Create a Brand from Scratch
If you prefer to build your brand profile manually, follow these steps.
Step 1: Brand Basics
Start with the essentials:
- Go to the Brands page and click "New Brand".
- Enter your brand name.
- Select your industry (this helps the AI understand your market context).
- Write your mission — a short statement about what your brand does and who it serves.
- Define your target audience — who you are creating content for.
Step 2: Voice and Tone
Your voice and tone tell the AI how your brand should sound. Think about the personality you want to project:
- Describe your voice — this is your brand's personality. For example: "confident and approachable" or "witty and irreverent" or "professional and authoritative."
- Set your tone — the emotional register of your content. For example: "warm and encouraging" or "direct and no-nonsense."
The more specific you are, the more consistent your content will be. Instead of "professional," try "professional but conversational — we explain complex topics in plain language without dumbing them down."
You can also click "Polish with AI" to let Brandmanna refine your voice description into a more detailed, structured prompt.
Step 3: Messaging
Define the core messages your content should reinforce:
- Write your primary value proposition — the main benefit you offer.
- Add a secondary value proposition — a supporting benefit or differentiator.
- Enter your tagline (optional) — a memorable phrase that captures your brand.
These value propositions appear in your generated content as talking points, CTAs, and key messages.
Step 4: Visual Identity
Set up your visual brand so AI-generated images and design briefs match your look:
- Choose your brand colors — primary, secondary, and accent colors. Use hex codes for precision.
- Upload your logo — this is used for carousel exports and design briefs.
Your color palette influences AI image generation and the Design Brief for Canva export feature, ensuring visual consistency across your content.
Step 5: Content Pillars
Content pillars are strategic themes that give your content variety and purpose. They help the AI generate focused, relevant ideas instead of generic posts.
- Click "Add Pillar" to create a content pillar.
- Give each pillar a name (e.g., "Thought Leadership," "Customer Stories," "Behind the Scenes," "Industry News").
- Add a usage guide — a short description of what kind of content falls under this pillar.
- Optionally add examples of topics or posts for this pillar.
- Repeat for up to 5 pillars (2-5 is recommended).
If you are not sure what pillars to use, click "Generate Pillars" and the AI will suggest pillars based on your brand context.
When you generate content later, you can optionally specify which pillar to focus on, and the AI will tailor its ideas accordingly.
Step 6: Brand Don'ts
Tell the AI what to avoid:
- Topics to avoid — subjects that are off-limits for your brand.
- Words to avoid — specific terms or phrases you never use.
- Tones to avoid — communication styles that conflict with your brand (e.g., "sarcastic," "overly casual").
Brand don'ts act as guardrails, preventing the AI from generating content that could damage your brand or feel off-message.
Review Your Brand Profile
Before moving on, review your brand profile as a whole. A strong profile has:
- A clear, specific voice description (not just "professional" — describe how your brand sounds in conversation)
- At least one value proposition that clearly states what you offer
- Brand colors set with hex codes for consistency
- 2-5 content pillars with usage guides
- At least one brand don't to set guardrails
You can always come back and refine these later. Brandmanna is designed for iteration — as you generate content and see what works, you will naturally want to adjust your brand profile.
After Setup: Make Your Brand Smarter
Once you have your brand profile set up and have generated some content, two features help Brandmanna learn your style over time:
Brand Enrichment
Brand Enrichment analyzes your existing drafts to learn your vocabulary, style patterns, and preferences. The more content you create and edit, the more the AI adapts to your actual writing style. Run it from the brand settings page to update the AI's understanding of your brand.
Voice Fingerprint (Creator+ tier)
Voice Fingerprint provides advanced voice analysis. Paste 5-20 samples of your existing content and Brandmanna extracts 20+ voice pattern dimensions — sentence style, vocabulary level, content structure, hook patterns, CTA patterns, hashtag habits, and distinctive phrases. This fingerprint powers more accurate voice matching in future generations.
Find Voice Fingerprint on the Brand Overview tab. You can re-analyze or delete the fingerprint at any time.
Managing Multiple Brands
Depending on your subscription tier, you can manage multiple brand profiles:
- Free: 1 brand
- Creator: Up to 5 brands
- Studio: Up to 25 brands
- Enterprise: Unlimited
You can duplicate any brand by clicking the copy icon on a brand card — this clones the entire profile including voice, messaging, colors, and pillars.
To keep your brand list tidy, archive brands you are not actively using. Archived brands appear in a separate tab and can be unarchived at any time. All drafts and content remain intact.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the AI know my brand voice?
You define it in your brand profile — voice, tone, mission, messaging, colors, and pillars. The AI uses this context for every generation. The more detail you provide and the more you use Brand Enrichment, the more on-brand the output becomes.
What if the AI output does not match my brand?
Use the refinement tools on the draft editor (clarity, engaging, professional, emotional) or regenerate. You can also run Brand Enrichment to let the AI learn from your edited content, or polish your voice description with "Polish with AI" on the brand page.
What are content pillars?
Strategic content themes (e.g., "Thought Leadership," "Customer Stories," "Behind the Scenes"). They ensure your content has variety and strategic purpose. You can have up to 5 pillars per brand, and the AI uses them to generate more focused content.
Can I change my brand profile later?
Yes. Your brand profile is fully editable at any time. Changes take effect on the next content generation — previously generated content is not affected.
